About Us

Caro Assembly of God was established in the summer of 1960. Since our beginning, we have been committed to reaching our community with the life-changing message of salvation through Jesus Christ. Our Sunday morning service consists of worship to our Lord and a challenging message from our pastor. The children have classes for their respective age groups. Special Sunday night services are planned throughout the year that consist of life-connect groups, prayer services and special events. On Wednesday nights during the school year we have a "Construction Zone" children's ministry that meets at 6:30pm. A bus ministry operates within the city of Caro that provides transportation for this ministry as well as for IMPACT youth. Our IMPACT youth ministry meets every Wednesday throughout the year at 6:30pm. They have their own youth service which consists of a youth worship team and messages that apply to the needs of today's youth culture. Our ministries are both discipleship and outreach focused. The adults meet on Thursday mornings at 10:30am at our downtown storefront- "The Blessing Center," where we have our mid-week bible study and prayer time.

David Dietzel

Pastor
Pastor Dave and Julie Dietzel have been serving as our lead pastors along with their three children, Austin, Emily and Elijah since October 2003. Prior to coming to Caro, our pastor served as a youth and associate minister for over 12 years, including the directing of three high school campus ministries in the Thumb region. Both our pastor and his wife have a heart for reaching families and being involved in our community. Pastor Dave is a graduate of Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, with a BA in Biblical Studies

Julie Dietzel

Children’s Ministry

George Esler

Associate Pastor
Pastor George Esler is the associate pastor with Caro Assembly of God. Born in New Jersey George relocated to Michigan in April of 2010 and has been serving with us ever since. With a heart for the youth George also serves as youth director of Impact Youth group and together with his wife Kristine and team of youth leaders minister to the young people of our community. As someone who has spent most of his life running from God George serves as a reminder that our God is a God of second chances. God can use any of us regardless of our past. The key is surrender. To willing surrender ourselves to a loving God.

Patty Martin

Administrative Assistant
Patty Martin currently serves as our Administrative Assistant and has been in this position since 2010. She manages the everyday business of the church and coordinates all communications regarding church ministries and events.
